It's impossible to tire of the breathtaking views from Chalet Biola Vu. This comfortable chalet is in a peaceful corner of the Giffre Valley, less than a 10-minute drive from the attractions of Morillon and Samoëns.
With a large garden, table football and a wide selection of board games, Chalet Biola Vu is the ideal base for one or two families who want to share an Alpine holiday.
Chalet Biola Vu is located in the unspoiled Savoyard village of Verchaix, just 3km from the Morillon cable car and 5km from the Lacs aux Dames leisure centre, which plays host to a wealth of summer activities. There’s also a great choice of cycling and hiking trails in the area.
Whatever time of year you visit Chalet Biola Vu, you’ll never be short of activities and entertainment.
About the property…
Chalet Biola Vu is a spacious three-storey property for up to 12 people (including eight adults) with five bedrooms and three bath/shower rooms.
The entrance on the garden level leads to a spacious hall where you can leave your outdoor clothing after a busy day in the mountains. There’s a bright games room with table football and an arcade machine, as well as bunk beds for four children. Guests in this room have a separate shower room and toilet. There’s also a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
The large open-plan living room is on the first floor. There’s a central seating area with comfortable sofas arranged around a TV, a fully equipped kitchen with two ovens, two dishwashers and induction hobs, and an individually designed dining table where everyone can sit down to eat together. On sunny days, you can enjoy your meals on the furnished terrace.
The first double bedroom is located on this floor. It has a desk and its own shower room with a washbasin and WC.
You will find three more bedrooms on the top floor. There are two double rooms, both with access to a balcony, as well as a children's bedroom with two single beds, a TV, toys and board games. These rooms share a shower room with a walk-in shower and double sink, as well as a separate toilet. One of the double bedrooms has a desk, so you can work remotely (if you can take your eyes off the view!).
There’s plenty of room for children to play in the large garden, and up to three vehicles can be parked outside Chalet Biola Vu.
About the area…
You’ll find plenty going on in the Grand Massif area, whatever time of year you choose to visit.
The slopes of Morillon are linked to those of Flaine, Les Carroz, Samoëns and Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, offering a total of 265km of pistes and an excellent network of ski lifts. Snowfall is regular and abundant, and 80% of the slopes face north, so you are sure to find a challenge to suit your level. Experienced skiers can tackle the Combe de Gers, for example, with its 800m vertical drop.
Outside the ski season, the region offers hiking and cycling in the mountains, as well as climbing and water sports on the Giffre river. The Lac aux Dames leisure area (5km away) is perfect for a family day out, offering a swimming area, an outdoor pool and discovery trails, as well as fishing, tennis and golf.
Keen gardeners and nature lovers will love the Jaÿsinia Alpine Garden in Samoëns (7km away), which showcases mountain flora from around the world. This four-hectare garden is free to enter and open all year round. It’s located on a hillside, but the climb to the top offers breathtaking views of the valley and the ruins of a medieval castle.
Make time during your stay to visit the village of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval (12km away). Surrounded by a natural amphitheatre of high limestone cliffs, it has been named one of the most beautiful villages in France. It is also the starting point for superb rafting descents and a via ferrata route.

If you’re looking for noisy aprés ski and places to party, it may not be for you, but it’s a great choice for families, who will appreciate the activities and great child care at the Village des Enfants.
There are some bars and restaurants in Morillon, with more in nearby resorts, and at less than an hour from Geneva airport, it has everything you need for a carefree mountain holiday.

Chalet Biola Vu is spread over three spacious floors, offering a welcoming and convenient base for one or two families in the Giffre Valley.
The magnificent open-plan living room is flooded with light thanks to the full-height windows and doors. Relax on the cosy sofas in the seating area, or cook up a delicious meal in the fully equipped kitchen – there’s plenty of room to eat together at the large designer dining table.
On sunny days, the furnished terrace is the perfect place to enjoy lunch with a view of the mountains.
Chalet Biola Vu has three double bedrooms, two of which have a desk where you can work remotely during your stay. The two double bedrooms on the upper floor open onto a shared balcony, offering fabulous views of the village and mountains.
On the garden level, a bedroom with table football, an arcade machine and bunk beds for four will be a haven for younger guests, while one of the upstairs bedrooms has a mezzanine floor with two single beds for younger children, as well as a television and a large selection of games and toys.
On the practical side, there’s a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and there is space for three vehicles in front of the chalet. A large garden offers children plenty of space to play.

We have been in love with the mountains for as long as we can remember, and discovered the Giffre Valley over 20 years ago. In 2022, we fell in love with Verchaix, where the stunning view of Mont Buet and the Aiguille Verte is an impressive backdrop.
Chalet Biola Vu is the result of an architectural project that combined the renovation of an old chalet with a contemporary extension inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright. Like the architect’s table that graces the living room, the space reflects a balance between nature, light, and warmth.
The chalet is a haven where you can relax, recharge and share beautiful moments, at any time of year.
